This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is incorporated into and forms part of the Silaar Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms. Violating this AUP is a material breach of the Terms and may result in immediate suspension, termination, and forfeiture of fees.
1. Overview
Silaar provides a B2B API gateway for lawful, legitimate business use. You are responsible for the activity conducted through your account and API Keys, including by your employees, contractors, and any downstream users. You agree to comply with this AUP and with all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Permitted Use
You may use the Services to:
- Programmatically access and aggregate public, license-permitted data from authorized Third-Party Sources for your own internal business operations.
- Build integrations, internal tools, and analytics dashboards for your organization.
- Operate e-commerce, dropshipping, inventory, and pricing workflows where you have the right to do so under the underlying platform’s terms.
You must respect the terms of service, robots directives, rate limits, and intellectual-property rights of every Third-Party Source.
3. Prohibited Use
You must not, and must not allow any third party to, use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law, regulation, treaty, or court order.
- Infringe, misappropriate, or violate the intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights of any person or entity, including counterfeiting, piracy, or unauthorized scraping behind a login.
- Engage in fraud, deception, theft, carding, account takeovers, credential stuffing, payment fraud, money laundering, or terrorist financing.
- Distribute, transmit, or store malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, worms, trojans, botnets, or any other malicious code.
- Conduct or facilitate denial-of-service attacks, intrusion attempts, port scans, or any form of unauthorized access to systems or data.
- Send spam, phishing, unsolicited communications, or engage in any deceptive marketing or misleading advertising.
- Collect, harvest, or aggregate personal, sensitive, or financial data of individuals without their consent or a lawful basis.
- Resell, sublicense, or share access to the Services on a standalone or competing-API basis without our written permission.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security features of the Services or any Third-Party Source.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services, including by exceeding QPS or volume limits in a manner intended to abuse the platform.
- Mine cryptocurrency without our express written consent, or use the Services to perform computationally abusive or unsustainable workloads.
4. Restricted Categories (Stripe / Bank-Required)
The following categories of business or activity are strictly prohibited and may not be conducted, facilitated, or represented through the Services or in connection with any payment processed via Silaar. These mirror the restricted-business lists required by major payment processors and U.S. financial institutions:

| Gambling & lotteries | Unlicensed online casinos, sports betting, lotteries, sweepstakes without required licensure or registration. |
| Weapons & violence | Firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons accessories, instructions for weapons or violence. |
| Controlled substances | Drugs, narcotics, prescription drugs without authorization, drug paraphernalia, tobacco/nicotine in violation of law. |
| Sanctions & prohibited parties | Any activity involving parties sanctioned by OFAC or other U.S. or international sanctions programs, embargoed countries or regions, or terrorism. |
| Hacking & cybercrime | Malware, botnets, credential stuffing tools, DDoS services, exploit kits, stolen data marketplaces. |
| IP infringement | Counterfeit goods, pirated software/media, sale of unauthorized streaming devices. |
| Regulated financial services | Unlicensed money transmission, unregistered securities or token offerings, unlicensed virtual-asset exchanges or custody. |
| Hate, harassment & harm | Hate speech, harassment, bullying, incitement to violence, content promoting self-harm or harm to others. |
| Personal data markets | Sale or brokerage of personal, biometric, government-ID, or sensitive data without lawful consent. |
5. Your Security Obligations
- Keep API Keys secret, store them securely (e.g., in a secrets manager), and never expose them in client-side code or public repositories.
- Use the principle of least privilege and rotate keys regularly.
- Implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data accessed through the Services.
- Promptly notify us of any actual or suspected security incident at legal@silaar.com.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we deem appropriate, without notice and at our sole discretion, including:
- Warning the account holder;
- Throttling, blocking, or filtering requests;
- Suspending or terminating the account and revoking API Keys;
- Reporting the activity to law enforcement, regulators, or affected third parties; and
- Seeking any other remedies available under law or equity.
We may also be required to disclose account data in response to lawful requests from authorities or payment partners.
7. Reporting Violations
To report a violation of this AUP or abuse of the Services, email legal@silaar.com with details. We investigate all credible reports.
