This Refund & Cancellation Policy is part of our Terms of Service. We aim to be transparent and fair in how we handle billing.
1. Overview
Silaar offers subscription plans billed on a recurring monthly basis in U.S. dollars. Because our Services are digital and usage-based, the refund terms below differ from those for physical goods, consistent with applicable consumer-protection law.
2. Billing & Automatic Renewal
- Subscriptions are billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle (monthly or annually, depending on your Plan).
- Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Overage charges (where applicable) are billed after the end of the cycle in which they are incurred.
- Tax may be added where required by law.
3. Cancellation
- You can cancel at any time from your dashboard under Billing → Manage Subscription, or by emailing support@silaar.com.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. Your subscription remains active and you retain access until the end of the current paid billing period.
- Canceling does not automatically delete your account or your usage history.
4. Refunds
4.1 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee (New Subscriptions)
If you are a new Customer and are not satisfied with your subscription, you may request a full refund of your first subscription payment within 14 calendar days of the initial charge. To qualify:
- You must not have materially violated the Terms or AUP;
- You must submit the request within the 14-day window; and
- Your usage must be consistent with reasonable evaluation.
This 14-day right is independent of, and in addition to, any statutory withdrawal/cancellation rights you may have under EU/UK consumer law.
4.2 Recurring Renewal Charges
Recurring renewal charges are non-refundable, except where:
- Required by law (including statutory consumer rights in the EU/UK and certain U.S. states);
- The charge was caused by a documented Silaar error; or
- We determine, at our discretion, that a refund is warranted (for example, material Service outage).
4.3 Annual Plans
Annual plans may be refunded on a pro-rata basis for the full, unexpired months remaining, less an administrative fee and any applicable usage, if requested within 14 days of renewal. After 14 days, annual renewals are non-refundable.
4.4 Overage & Usage-Based Charges
Overage and metered charges for usage you actually incurred are non-refundable, except where caused by a documented Silaar error.
4.5 Service Outage Credits
If we fail to meet the uptime commitment in our Service Level Agreement for paid Plans, you may be eligible for service credits as described in the SLA, in lieu of a refund.
5. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve the issue quickly. Chargebacks filed without prior contact may delay resolution. Disputes found in our favor will not be refunded.
6. Non-Refundable Items
- Fees for usage already consumed (overage, metered requests).
- Custom or Enterprise contracts after the work has commenced, except as stated in the signed agreement.
- Any Plan terminated by us for a breach of the Terms or AUP (no refund of fees paid).
7. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
- Email support@silaar.com from your account email with your account name and reason.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
If you believe we have not handled your request fairly, you may contact your card issuer or local consumer-protection authority.
